Regenixa™
Advancing Healing. Restoring Lives.
Regenixa™ is an advanced collagen biomaterial platform engineered to accelerate healing and transform outcomes in chronic wounds.

The Problem
Chronic wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, pressure injuries and non-healing surgical wounds, impose significant clinical burden, reduce quality of life and generate substantial healthcare costs. In India, the scale of diabetes and its complications makes wound care one of the most under-addressed clinical needs in the country.
India has an estimated 89.8 million adults living with diabetes, the second-highest national total in the world. Among them, the lifetime risk of developing a diabetic foot ulcer is estimated at 15-25%, and diabetes-related complications contribute to an estimated 100,000 lower-limb amputations in India each year, a substantial share of which are considered preventable with earlier, more effective wound care.
What is needed are regenerative biomaterials that are sustainably sourced and economically accessible for healthcare systems in low and middle income countries.
The Technology
Regenixa is a collagen biomaterial platform engineered to support tissue regeneration in chronic, complex and acute wounds. Derived from sustainably sourced animal tissue and marine collagen, Regenixa furnishes a biocompatible matrix designed to activate and support the body's endogenous regenerative processes.
The platform is being developed in collaboration with a premier national biomedical research institution, combining Declutter's expertise in collagen extraction, purification and biomaterial engineering with advanced biomedical research capabilities

Designed for Complex Wound Care
Regenixa is intended to assist clinicians in managing a spectrum of chronic and acute wounds:
Diabetic Foot Ulcers
Venous Leg Ulcers
Pressure Injuries
Surgical Wounds
Burn Injuries
Why Regenixa?
Supports Tissue Regeneration
Provides a collagen scaffold intended to support cellular processes involved in tissue repair, including fibroblast migration, angiogenesis and extracellular matrix remodelling.
Reduces Complication Risk
Intended to maintain a moist wound environment that supports the body's innate response, helping to manage bacterial colonisation and secondary complications.
Organised Healing
The collagen matrix is intended to guide tissue remodelling in a manner that supports organised wound closure.
Biocompatible
Formulated for biocompatibility and compatibility with standard clinical wound management protocols. Biocompatibility evaluation is part of the ongoing development programme.
Conformable & Easy to Apply
Soft, pliable material designed for anatomical conformability, ease of application and patient comfort.
Sustainably Sourced
Derived from animal tissue and marine collagen by-products that would otherwise be discarded, reducing the environmental footprint of the sourcing process.
